This 60"x60" painting hangs at the Macculloch Hall Museum in Morristown, NJ after hanging for 17 years in this wonderful Museum it was in need of some care.
The old lining split at the tack edge and the painting pushed through the frame. The old lining had broken down, the natural pine resin varnish was discolored and the painting was in need of cleaning.
Applied Treatment
The painting was cleaned, damages were filled and inpainted. A new lining was applied. The frame was repaired by our expert gilder, Vincent Moreno. The painting can be viewed at Macculloch Hall Museum among many other beautiful period pieces.
